James (Jim) N. Baker was accepted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a U.S. patent agent in 1998, and has since been preparing and prosecuting patent applications on a wide variety of technologies, including metallurgical engineering, semiconductors, steel manufacturing, process machinery, semiconductor wafer handling, nanotechnology, and printed circuit boards.
Jim is also experienced in handling international patent applications and in interfacing with patent attorneys from abroad in assisting them file and prosecute Pittsburgh clients’ patent applications abroad.
Jim received a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from The University of Notre Dame, and a Master of Science in Metallurgy from The Pennsylvania State University.
Jim is a strong supporter of Notre Dame football, and enjoys attending Notre Dame football games with friends.
